Where:
Vinnitsa, Ukraine
Ukraine Children's Project/ Deety-Nasha Nadiya is a registered
international charitable foundation headquartered in Vinnitsa,
Ukraine. Vinnitsa is a city of approximately 400,000 people.
Vinnitsa is one of the 25 oblasts in Ukraine and the center
of our ministry to this point.
The Vinnitsa oblast has approximately 1,908,000 people.
Ukraine Children's Project/ DNN works with thirty-two orphanages
in this oblast ranging from baby to teenagers, normal development
to level four & handicap children.
Vinnitsa, Ukraine is 180 miles southwest of Kiev. Ukrainian
is the predominating language. However, most people understand
and speak Russian. Ukraine is 7 hours ahead of East Coast
standard time.
Donation:
Your
donation (see Mission Trip Schedule) helps us offset the
cost of the mission. Once your donation is received, Ukraine
Children's Project will cover your international airfare,
food, accommodations, transportation, visa & interpreter.
You may want to bring spending money for shopping and snacks.
Weather:
The
weather in Ukraine is similar to Montreal. The winter is
cold and summer is hot. The average temperature in Summer
is between 70’s - 80’s, Fall is between 30’s
– 40’s, Winter is between –5 – 20’s
and Spring is between 40’s – 50’s.
Plan:
Over the duration of the trip, the team will set up medical
clinics in different orphanages and provide evangelistic
ministry to the children and orphanage workers.
Goals:
-
To provide dental/ medical care to needy children who would
otherwise not have access to care.
- Cultivate
relationships with nationals so that they can provide enhanced
dental/medical care and sustain the program in the future.
- Teach
orphan children about the love of Jesus Christ and the value
he has placed on each of their lives.
- To
partner with local churches in accomplishing these goals.
Personnel
Needed: (may vary depending
on trip)
In the area of medical work we need a Pediatrician and (2)
two nurses.
In the area of dentistry we need (2) two dentist, (2) two
dental assistants and (2) two support personnel.
In the area of ministry we need one person who wants to coordinate
the activities during the two weeks and two to five people
to help them carry out the activities.
Note:
Everyone is welcome and will be put to work in some area.

Cost of the trip is subject to change.

A one-time contribution of $50 should accompany your application.

A $1,000 deposit is due upon acceptance to any trip.
- The
remaining contribution must be received at least 45 days
before departure.
Please
note contributions cannot be returned should you be unable
to make the trip but may be applied to future trips. A receipt
of contribution will be sent to you verifying the donation.
